Day 1
ARRIVE COLOMBO – ONTO KANDY
On arrival in Colombo, you will be meet by our driver/guide who will assist and drive you to Kandy. En-route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 2
KANDY
This morning, enjoy sightseeing tour of Kandy. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden – First built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was later expanded by the British. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 3
KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
Today proceed to Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit a Tea Plantation – Sri Lanka, Tea and Tourism are words which cannot be separated. Take a tour to the cold and misty hills that take pride of an ultimate tea tour, covering lush green blankets of tea plantations. Or just step into a tea factory processing the prestigious brand of Ceylon Tea, to observe a rich tradition kept alive up to date. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya
Day 4
NUWARA EALIYA – BENTOTA
Today, travel to Bentota via Kitulgala, the location where Oscar winning film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ was filmed. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Bentota.
Day 5
BENTOTA
The day is free at leisure. Or take an optional trip to Balapitiya for a River Safari. Enjoy a two hour boat trip to Madu river, where you come experience day-to-day activities of villagers on the island. Overnight in Bentota.
Day 6
DEPART COLOMBO
Today you will be transferred to Colombo Airport for your flight back home.
